My name is Bethany Ward, and I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals and families through the end-of-life journey. With a background in Unitarian Universalist congregational ministry and as a Family Care Provider within the Green Burial movement, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to my role as a Spiritual Director, Death Midwife, Funeral Celebrant, Grief Companion, and Home Funeral Educator.
I am proud to have received training from the renowned Donna Belk, an esteemed figure in the field of conscious death care, and Grief Expert David Kessler. Similarly, I am a former practitioner in the conservation burial movement as a Burial Steward within Foxfield Preserve. By staying at the forefront of these important discussions, I am committed to offering, and promoting, sustainable, compassionate, and meaningful end-of-life practices that honor both individuals and the environment.
With this foundation, I am actively engaged in the national conversation on conservation burial, grief literacy, funeral reform, and the burgeoning home funeral movement. Additionally, as a member of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance, I contribute to shaping the future of end-of-life care by advocating for compassionate support and empowering individuals and families to navigate their death journeys with dignity and grace.
I believe that death is not an end, but rather a transition—a sacred journey that deserves to be honored with dignity, respect, and love. Through my work, I strive to empower others to embrace conscious dying and to find solace and meaning in the midst of loss.
Endless Eden began from a deeply personal place. I experienced the sudden, unexpected loss of my mother in my early 30s. The process left me feeling disillilusioned with the conventional funeral industry. I yearned for a more compassionate, intimate approach to end-of-life care for both my mother and for my family. This longing set me on a path to explore a compassionate alternative. It led me to serve as a Burial Steward for a conservation cemetery - a transformative experience that ultimately inspired the creation of Endless Eden.
Endless Eden represents the hope for a new approach to end-of-life care, one that is guided by respect, dignity, and deep reverence for the natural cycle of life. My services are born from the belief that every individual deserves a peaceful, meaningful transition that honors their unique life journey while respects the need for sustainability and strong communities. Rooted in authenticity, my approach seeks to reimagine conventional practices, illuminating a path that embraces both the spiritual and natural aspects of death.
Allow me to be your trusted guide and companion on the path of conscious dying. I offer a range of services designed to support individuals and families through the end-of-life experience. Connect with me to determine how I can support this most sacred transition.
